Come and experience a horseback riding trip on an Icelandic horse in the beautiful countryside surrounding the Paunolanmäki stable. We are situated in the beautiful part of eastern Finland. The stable is only fifteen minutes away by car from Savonlinna, famous for its Opera Festival. The Stable is also quite near to Punkaharju and Kerimäki.

The Paunolanmäki stable will give you a wonderful new experience with the good tempered and friendly Icelandic horses, and exhilarating moments in the great outdoors, whatever the season. In the summertime the surrounding nature is in full bloom, and in the winter one can enjoy the beautiful white stillness of the forest.

Icelandic horse trip

A trip on an Icelandic horse is a memorable experience even for the beginner, as no previous riding skills are required. The Icelandic horse has a sure gait, it is calm and docile and will follow your directions even if you're riding a horse for the first time.

The riding trip will take you to trails in the woods and countryside surrounding the stable. More experienced riders can also taste the speed on safe roads in the forest, but the riding experience is just as unforgettable by easing back and enjoying the calm and steady gait of the Icelandic horse.

If you wish, the trip can also include taking a break and enjoying a tasty packed lunch in the diverse wilderness of Eastern Savo. A cup of coffee and a peaceful moment in the refreshing outdoors, or a log cabin, rich in atmosphere, is an experience to remember.
